Helping Hands Chore Service, Inc. was established in 2006 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, doing business as “Helping Hands” and registered by the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. HCA.0000201. Our office is located in the Winsted Health Center, 115 Spencer Street, Winsted, CT, where day-to-day operations and financial transactions are handled. This site is also home to several medical offices and the Susan B. Perry Senior Housing.

Funding
Helping Hands is partially funded by a grant from the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging made possible through the Older Americans Act and State funding. We also depend on client donations, town assistance and financial support from the community and Winsted Health Center Foundation.
Helping Hands actively pursues grant opportunities and fundraising initiatives to acquire much-needed revenue to benefit our senior clients. In 2023-2024, we were awarded funding from the following Grantors:
- Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
- Northwest CT Community Foundation Cycle Grant
- Draper Foundation Fund, a fund of the Northwest CT Community Foundation
- Northwest CT Community Foundation Year-End Critical Needs Grant
